The Trials and Tribulations of the Railway Pioneers - at work

The Friends of Hebden Bridge Station invite you to the second talk by Peter Jeffrey at 7:30 pm at Hope Chapel, Cheetham St, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8EW, UK. Use side entrance in Hope Street. Entry is free but there will be a collection in aid of The Friends to cover the cost of room hire.

Gardening and Maintenance

at Hebden Bridge Station

Bulbs Planted

Hebden Royd Town Council provided the bulbs and the Friends have planted them out around the station gardens so look out for a lovely spring display.

2017 Working Parties at Hebden Bridge Station

Saturday 25 March 2pm to 4pm. Our first working party is part of Hebden Royd Town Council's Big Spring Clean and will be for two hours. We need at least 6 volunteers for the two hours to ensure we are eligible for a £60 grant from Hebden Royd Town Council, so do come along and help!

All other working parties are usually on every other Saturday lasting from 2.00-3.00pm. Please bring your own trowel, kneelers, and secateurs if you have them. - all volunteers welcome!

We have created a new bed opposite the nursery and would welcome plants/seedlings/seeds. Ideally we would like edible things like herbs, vegetables and fruit, but flowers/small shrubs are also welcome.

Next FoHBS meeting: Monday, 30th January 2017 at 6 pm in the back room at the White Lion Hotel not in the station manager's office on Platform 1. This will be followed by our annual meal at 7:15 pm in Il Mulino’s next door to the White Lion. If you wish to come to the annual dinner, please contact email address.
